Don’t have your own jeep and trailer for the RSA driving test? Epic Driving School provides a fully insured, RSA-compliant jeep and box trailer for hire on test day – so you can focus on passing, not on logistics.
What's Included?
Everything you need is taken care of:
- ✅ Modern jeep + RSA-approved box trailer
- ✅ Pre-test warm-up session on the morning of your test
- ✅ Instructor accompaniment to the test centre
- ✅ Full insurance coverage for the duration of the test
- ✅ Manual or automatic — your choice
- ✅ Option to use your own jeep with our trailer if preferred
How It Works
- Book your hire slot – contact us with your RSA test date and location
- Morning warm-up – meet your instructor 1–2 hours before your test for a final practice session in the hire vehicle
- Drive to the test centre – your instructor accompanies you and hands over the vehicle to you at the gate
- Pass your test – you’re in a familiar, well-maintained vehicle you’ve already practised in
Who Is This For?
- Drivers who don’t own a jeep or trailer suitable for the RSA test
- Those whose vehicle doesn’t meet RSA weight or specification requirements
- Drivers who want to train and test in the same vehicle for consistency
- Anyone who wants to avoid the stress of transporting their own rig on test day
RSA Requirements for the BE Test Vehicle
The RSA requires specific vehicle standards for the Category BE driving test:
- Towing vehicle: 4-wheel drive jeep or suitable Category B vehicle
- Trailer: minimum design gross vehicle weight (DGVW) of 1,400kg, maximum 3,500kg
- Combination speed capability: at least 100km/h
- Trailer must have a braking system
Our vehicles meet all RSA requirements. If you’re unsure whether your own vehicle qualifies, contact us and we’ll advise.

How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking as soon as you receive your RSA test date – ideally 2+ weeks in advance to guarantee availability.
What areas do you cover?
We cover RSA test centres across Dublin and surrounding counties. Contact us to confirm availability at your local test centre.
