Motorcycle Theory Test Practice (Category A)
Preparing for the motorcycle theory test in Ireland? This practice quiz focuses on what riders actually need to know: road positioning, protective equipment, carrying passengers, riding in poor weather and the hazards that catch out two-wheeled road users far more often than drivers. The official RSA test for motorcycle categories follows the same format as the car exam — 40 multiple-choice questions, 35 needed to pass, 45 minutes on the clock.
Motorcycle questions have their own flavour, so don’t rely on car-based revision alone. Expect scenarios about filtering, visibility, road surface dangers like diesel spills and wet manhole covers, and correct lifesaver checks.
Once your theory test is passed and your learner permit sorted, you’ll need Initial Basic Training before riding on the road. Epic Driving School offers motorcycle lessons on a school bike or your own machine — a solid way to build confidence before the practical test.
